About us at Nickel Danes
Hello my name is Brenda,
My family and I run a small all natural kennel, formerly located in Cape Cod,Massachusetts and currently located in Winnsboro, South Carolina.
The qualities I strive for in my Great Danes are health, temperament, and quality. Every litter is carefully researched to ensure that our puppies reach the AKC standard. All my dogs and puppies are naturally raised, which means they eat a biologically appropriate raw food diet or (B.A.R.F), which I have been feeding successfully for over 9 years. Being certified in canine nutrition, I offer my potential puppy families a lot of advice and support on raw feeding as well as a limited, if any, vaccine protocol. I have had the privilege to be owned by Danes for over 17 years, and I'm learning more and more everyday.
Our kennel name, Nickel Danes, comes from a combination of my children's names, Nick and Kelsey. We have since added to our brood, but decide not to change our name :-)
If at some time we do not have any Danes available, I would be more than happy to point you in the right direction of a reputable breeder, as well as answer any additional questions you may have.
Please do your research before owning a Dane they are a giant breed, that require a big commitment, but return the love in a GIANT way. They are a sensitive breed, so, please do your research, ask questions and be open minded and honest with yourself. This may not be the breed for you. They are not disposable, they do have feelings, so although I do offer life-time support to my new families, and offer to take a dog back for whatever reason, please do your research first......we want a successful match!
